Co-hosted by the Memphis Law Student Bar Association and Memphis Bar Association, Race Judicata (The Run for Justice!) benefits the Memphis Bar Association’s Access to Justice program – which provides support and funding to non-profit organizations that offer free legal services to the elderly and low-income families in Memphis.
The race is in Downtown Memphis, begins at Memphis Law School, passes by Memphis’s most stately courthouses, circles around Victorian Village and finishes behind the law school right on the Promenade overlooking the Mississippi River.

The After Party is next door at Memphis Park on Front Street. Not only will there be plenty of hot food and interesting booths, but also live music from The Risky Whiskey Boys. Our beer sponsor – Crosstown Brewing Company – is generously providing two free beers with your race entry. This freebie, pun intended, does include spirit runners! Appearances by the 501st Legion dressed in their impressive Star Wars costumes will be there (great for the kids and the kid in all of us!) Explore Bike Share will be in attendance handing out coupons and giving live tutorials on how to rent the new bikes downtown.
Awards will be three deep within five-year age group ranges – customized for this event. The overall male and female, masters, grandmasters, and senior masters champions will have their own award class – replete with a generous supply of diverse gift certificates. There will also be awards for fastest attorney, law student, professor, and legal support professional!”
Registration: $25 for 5K Runners (includes a custom bib, tech T-Shirt, two free beers, and a raffle entry) up to midnight the night before the race; $30 the morning of the race; and $20 for Spirit Runners.
Packet Pickup: All day Friday & Saturday morning on the rear drive-through of The University of Memphis Law School
