Cristina Arce de Bagaglio is the Director of the Pro Se Parents’ Clinic at the CLC. Born in Puerto Rico, she and her family moved to Memphis when her father was hired on as a pilot at FedEx. In 2004, she graduated magna cum laude from the University of Memphis, double majoring in International Relations and Spanish. She graduated from Ave Maria School of Law in Ann Arbor, Michigan, in 2008, where she participated as a translator and student-lawyer in the only pro bono Women and Children’s Immigrant Rights Clinic in the state of Michigan. She has experience in family and employment-based immigration, labor, and employment law.
Cristina has been involved in a number of organizations that support the Memphis community. Prior to her employment at the CLC, she was a member of the CLC board of directors, serving in a number of leadership roles. She has also been a long-time volunteer for the Junior League of Memphis, and served on the Board of Directors for Latino Memphis. She is also a former member of the Memphis Symphony Orchestra and Rhodes College Master Singers choirs. She believes in the power of community and the responsibility each of us has to make the world a little better. Cristina lives in Memphis with her family and loves walking while listening to history podcasts, and trying out (new and old!) restaurants.
