Legal Services Agreement
1. I will be meeting with one or more attorneys/DOJ Accredited Representative (“Legal Representative”) for a one-time consultation limited to advise and information regarding steps I may need to take to renew my DACA. I may be referred to another legal service provider if it appears that I require legal services outside of this consultation.
2. The Legal Representative helping me will not represent me other than to assist me in preparing my DACA Renewal Application. The Legal Representative will not be entering his/her/their appearance in my DACA Renewal Application case or any other case.
3. I agree to provide complete and truthful information to the Legal Representative who assists me. Any assistance I receive is based on the information I give to the Legal Representative. I understand that without accurate information legal representatives cannot provide me with accurate advice.
4. I also understand that I will be responsible for filling blanks on my forms, preparing and submitting my applications with the correct filing fee to U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (“USCIS”), monitoring my case, and complying with any additional requests from USCIS.
5. If I have further questions about my immigration status or other legal issues but am not referred to an attorney for a follow-up consultation, I understand that I should consult an attorney representative on my own.
Acuerdo de Servicios Legales
1. El Voluntario ayudandome el día de hoy solo me representará para ayudarme a preparar un poder relacionado con mis hijos y/o un poder general. Por este medio libero al Voluntario de todas y cada una de las obligaciones o responsabilidades asociadas con mi caso. Renuncio a cualquier reclamación de responsabilidad contra: Catholic Charities of West Tennessee, Community Legal Center, Latino Memphis, y Mid-South Immigration Advocates, y contra cualquiera de sus respectivos empleados o agentes.
2. Estoy de acuerdo en proporcionar información completa y veraz al Voluntario que me asiste. Cualquier asistencia que reciba será en base a la información que le doy al Voluntario. Entiendo que sin información precisa, los voluntarios legales no pueden proporcionar un asesoramiento preciso.
3. También entiendo que puedo ser el responsable de llenar cualquier espacio en blanco en los formularios, de obtener una firma adicional, y de buscar la certificación de un notario o testigo, además de ser responsable de proporcionar copias de mis formularios completados a otros, como se discutió con el Voluntario.
4. Si tengo más preguntas sobre mi estatus migratorio u otras cuestiones legales, pero no soy referido a un abogado para una consulta de seguimiento, entiendo que debo consultar a un representante legal por mi cuenta.
