Betsy Prendergast is serving as the Interim Executive Director of the Community Legal Center (CLC). With a strong commitment to social justice, Betsy has dedicated much of her career to ensuring equal access to justice for vulnerable and marginalized populations. She worked for many years in private practice and served in a managing role with Memphis Area Legal Services before joining the CLC in 2023 as an attorney in the Immigrant Justice Program.
Betsy’s involvement with the CLC spans over twenty years, during which she has tirelessly advocated for the organization and the communities it serves through her volunteer work and serving on the CLC board of directors. Betsy has consistently championed CLC’s mission, and today, her passion for social justice continues to drive her work as she leads the Community Legal Center in its mission to provide legal services to those of limited means and at-risk individuals.
